A blustery start...

I really can't see that much out bc it is still very dark outside, but, it looks to be a snowy, blustery day out. I am staying indoors as I don't really like this wintry stuff esp. after all the nice weather we've been having. I will check my bank statement probably Monday or Tuesday to see if I got my $$$. But I do have to buy a replacement for my 3DS, bc I put it down somewheres and now I can't find it. So... I may have to order a 2DS off of Lukie Games which is a pain in the rear but what can you do eh??

The birbs are trying to remain hopeful despite the harsh conditions. Birbs in Canada are a hardy type indeed. But I can hear the wind howl though...

I am on Discord as my old un: winterpear... if anyone would like to chat. :) I am still going to lurk on Sabot's discord server.. not really interested in Zoom... that be tomorrow. :D

Hello!!

So, read this. :) Anywhichway how are y'all today?? I am great. But the birbs aren't singing, which is a red flag for some kind of storm system... and get this: more fucking rain and possible snow?? But it shouldn't be that bad considering that Ontario is headed for what could be a drought this summer.

But don't quote me though.

Apparently there are more eclipses to come... I think I'm going to attempt to get back onto the horse that is TikTok... I know I know, doom scrolling but there are some awesome creepytoks out there too... and yes, I reserve the right to watch it at 2am. :P

Gaming wise, I have bad news. The borrowers are back at it. They took my 3DS. I swear, I'm going to ask Vicky if I can go on Lukie Games and get a Peach 2DS. Seriously. That way they can't steal it that easily.

TBH, I have been blogging at OD. God only knows why, besides the fact of being different set of friends? I am hopeless, I know....

Today was New D, and little else. I didn't get to see much of the eclipse cos it was already pretty cloudy out. Just got a bit darker that's all... lol. I did see it on Snapchat as someone from South America posted a video... amazing. Esp. the moment of totality?

I have not seen an eclipse like ever. The last one, in the 90's I missed cos I was in transit with my foster sister Alissa, for her frequent hospital visits.

So... here I be...

I haven't been up to much so, I wait til I do, and then I post... none of this mindless yapping.

Today was Bola's birthday, and for her dinner, her auntie ordered the house Swiss Chalet!! I had Bee's fries cos she was getting full... and I drenched my whole meal in Chalet sauce, even on the bun!! LOL!! I do love that stuff some!!

And our grocery order came in. We got a lot of stuff from Instacart.. have you ever had PC brand water enhancer called 'lemonbabe'? I love that shit!! Love the name too... sort of hippie-ish.

I'm so happy rn. :)

Gaming-wise, I tried out Children of Mana, and it is ok, I much prefer Girl's Photoshoot though. :)

Um, Bees found my banged up Samsung tab E in the tablet pouch... so I am using that too.

My adventures in the Sims 2 (yes, I said the Sims 2!!!)

I *finally* got the Sims 2 to work!! IDK if it was the clean install of Win 10? Or the weeding of my CC? Or both??? IDK! But I'm thankful just the same.

Today was almost a lesson in futility. My girls and I went to Krazy Binz. Underwhelming... in short.

Anyways, tomorrow I will do my Saturday diligence... cos today I got a wee bit sidetracked.

Happy Easter, a chance to show off my bun bun (a fur's holiday esp. if you incorporate rabbits!!

Yesterday I totally pigged out. I probably gained at east 50 lbs. :P I had a panzerotti and some poutine. I ate a little bit of mac n cheese too. :) I was stuffed!!

Today I have had roast turkey, mashed white potatoes + yams together... and asparagus. Yummy! I also splurged on the chocolate too... I normally don't like chocolate except for white and dark. Milk chocolate is inferior to both dark and white chockies. I also had salt water taffy too. :) I just hope that I am ok. I think I will be.

I am alone in my bedroom. My roomie is at the movies watching Ghostbusters 3. I might watch a movie too. I need to peruse my Tubi and Pluto apps. :)

Rn, I am listening to a nightcore version of Nicki Minaj's 'Hey Mama!'

I had to fresh install Win10 bc the other one was imperfect and kept throwing errors and BSoDs at me. The newest install works like a charm. I will check my email later. Hols I got your card. I will reply tomorrow!

In which I resurrect my computer from the dead...

So, when I was attempting to put Win10 on my computer, bc Win11 lags like f_cking hell on my Gateway... um, I snafued up the installation, I found the solution, and with a little prayer from Bees and Julz, I got it up and running! Imagine my surprise?! Talk about lucky charms non?

I went to New D today with my girls, and Carole and Zilpah too. :) We had fun. I saw this girl working on digital art on her laptop, and man! It blew me away!! It was incredibly detailed and everything! I had to check it out. :) I had a cuppa and some hot cocoa. When I got home, I was determined to fix my computer. Where there is a will? There is defo a way.

I got myself a sta.sh account. My un there is wint3rpear. Right now I have not much... here is the only one I have bc tbh, saving the world from imminent danger is tiring eheh...

Well, tomorrow I go to New D and after that I don't know... I don't have any appts until the end of April. And none of them are on Wednesday. :)

Tonight we are having chicken cordon bleu, tortellini and veggies for supper. :) I am going to get my devices ready for tomorrow. I have my iPad, and my Samsung Galaxy tab A, my phone and my 3DS. I plan to get a new iPad in July.

It's a rather slow day here. I might retire early to bed tonight bc I haven't slept all that good these past few days. :/

Siri is a nosy little wench...

She is. But she is an informative one. Heh. Everytime I'm talking with my girls, Siri butts in. So, I tell her shut the eff up, and she will invariable tell me that she won't reply to that. ^^

I could go on about food forever. Maybe this month, I am getting the French cookery book/historical tome Larousse Gastronomique. This is a fantastic book!! I had it before, but it was falling apart and we had bedbugs, sooo... ya. But the one I'm ordering is from Amazon and comes in a hard sleeve. The book itself is hardcover. I wish that I could sh w it to you. I believe there is a pdf file somewhere on the internet, but I want a physical copy. :)

They say that LG is the ultimate cookery book and tbh I have to agree. :)

Gaming-wise, I am playing Pokemon Sword, and Soul Silver atm. I chose Chikorita knowing full well that my rival could potentially crush the sh_t out of my team, if I don't play my cards right, but I almost always do collect a solid team. I can get a mareep for the first gym, and for Bugsy's, I'll have a pidgey... so... like I said, no sweat.

As for Sword, I MAY start out with Grookey as Scorbunny; while I love it and am good with it, the game is too easy with it. I do not like Sobble. I'd have to say that I'm your typical grass/dark trainer, which is also why I choose Sprigatito! It's the ultimate typing for me.

Anyways, speaking of Italian food; we are having spaghetti for supper. Yum!!!

I had two cups of coffee and one cup of tea today, so guess who's not sleeping tonight? ;)

Another movie review :)

This one is 'Bob Marley: One Love'. From the first scene, to the last, I loved it. It did him justice. If that movie hasn't already, (cos I am somewhat behind the times when it comes to awards shows... sadly.) it will win Oscar gold, bc it is a powerfully moving biopic. Simply put? Ah-mazing!! I grew up listening to his music. He died when I was 7, so the teacher in my class used to put on the Beatles, Marley, and other stuff, but it was really his Exodus album, and the Beatles Help that stuck with me. Call me old fashioned but I guess I am.

I give this movie a solid 5 stars out of 5. I was recommended this by Julz who saw and liked it.

I just realized that Ernest P. Worrell is the biggest redneck going. I'm just sayin'. I was watching a bunch of shorts of Jim Varney's... and yeah... bigger than Honeybooboo or the Duck Dynasty ppl. But, he still is funny. :) Him and his Sprite/Mello Yello/Coke... oy. *smh*

This past week was uneventful. Next week proves to be the same. Not much except New D on Wednesday. Saturday we are allowed to order food in, and I'm going to have me a panzerotti. I haven't had one of those bad boys in ages...

Omg 😱

So, we are getting close to 20 cm of snow over the course of the weekend. 🤪😩 but what can you do? I do realize that the Spring Equinox is tomorrow, but the weather is not agreeable… 20 cm! Good golly… Maybe it will miss us? One can only hope.

Gaming-wise, I’ve re-installed the Sims 2, cos it kept crashing. I don’t know. I need Remy’s opinion, do you think I should get a Steam deck?? Which model did you get Remy? I was thinking that or a new iPad with an iPencil to draw stuff like my fursona?

Also, I’m getting another copy of Larousse Gastronomique, bc Ry trashed my other copy. I don’t know why he did that, but he also got rid of my Beatles book. Now that I think 🤔 of it, it could have been the bedbug situation. Idk.

Good afternoon!

I was just pondering on the subject of St. Pat's Day, and I remember my Irish (from Dublin!) friend Alan. I saw him awhile ago. He seemed frail to me... he must be in his 70's. His wife Irene isn't doing that hot since the pandemic, so.. he is looking after her. They might have gone back to Ireland though, cos she was pretty ill.

I myself have been watching a lot of YT reels. Most of it is about spoopy stuff, and for some reason, Elvis Presley. I can't really vouch for how accurate these are, but some suggest that Priscilla did love him.

We are getting snow again, atm. Like we really need this in March near the Spring Equinox.. but I think it's winter's thumbing it's nose... we will get a period of really nice weather after the final storm, then, a sort of balance of nice weather, and then the summer heat which tbh, I really don't care for either. I'd rather live in a place that is more or less temperate. Not freeze your bahoonies off one moment and swelter in the heat the next... nope. Forget that noise. Gimme somewhere halfway warm all the time.

But, all is not lost, for... next week, Bees, Julie and I, are ordering from Pizza Pizza. Is any one Catholic on my flist? Do you know if Catholics can eat chicken on Good Friday? I wouldn't know.

A good day... not too busy, not too sedate...

Just the way I like it. Maybe tomorrow will be much like it? Wednesday we go to New D, and Thursday is Quack Day where I visit my endo asking for help losing weight and he says that I'm doing fine. :o Seriously!! I want a new endo. Goddamnit.

Today I mainly hung out in the quiet room with my girls, played June's Journey on my iPad, played Style Savvy: Fashion Forward, as I am completely enamoured with that game. I'm getting quite far in it too. I am probably going to bring my Switch to New D... as well as my 3DS. I have to get another game called 'Girl's Fashion Shoot' I love that too. And I'm playing Shield.. I'm thinking of restarting my games as well.. damn ADHD. :o :o

I have to cancel my OD. I don't blog there anymore. I want to blog at GNJ again. I kind of liked it there.

(no subject)

I am doing well, it's Friyay, the sun's out, the birbs are chattering away... everything is sehr gut. I have a feeling that this weekend will be good. :D

Not doing too much now, I just had a lemon curd yoghurt. Bees had strawberry. I like my yoghurt tart with a touch of sweetness, we get iogo Greek yoghurt. I love the stuff, so good. We are having more of Maman's fantastic meatball soup today for lunch. There were two types of meatballs, Italian and plant based, I prefer either bc the plant based are nice but smaller... and there were two soups - spicy and non. I had the spicy kind... omg. So yummy!!

Tomorrow I do dish duty with Zilpah bc Cathy is going home with her brother Dave for the weekend. No problems. Zil and I are great buds. :) She is easy to get along with. She is pretty smart and funny... loads of energy. Sometimes it matches mine lol..

Here in Ontario it is slowly warming up, and the earth is coming alive with snowdrops and crocuses. Soon the magnolia trees will bloom. I can't wait bc I love magnolias. All the beauty is returning to the world - not saying that winter is not lovely, it just is enough y'know?

As for gaming, I am playing Pokemon Ultra Moon, Omega Ruby, and Shield, and of course Violet. I prefer Sw/Sh over everything else with the exception of Emerald. :) Also playing AC: NL and WW on occasion. I have played a bit of Radiant Historia... and a bit of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. And also Platinum... with the new remakes of D/P I don't know why they just didn't remake Platinum, bc Giratina and Dialga and Palkia? I'm not so much on Pearl, but in my Diamond game I always name Dialga 'Trigger' cos he reminds me of a horse... not so much as Xerneas though. Oh! And Stardew Valley too! :) I'm all over the place gaming wise lmao!!
